We install toughened-glass doors & Shopfronts with options of rails, and/or patch fittings with a variety of finishes; such as polished stainless steel, powder coated, anodised and brass). You can select the toughened glass of your choice from tinted, etched or sand blasted with the thickness ranging from 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 or 19 (mm).During manufacturing, ideally, 8mm to 12mm toughened glass is used.

With that, the rails, patch fitting, and decorative handles are also attached. They come in different material option such as metal alloy, sodium carbonate, silica (sand), and metal oxide. Toughened glass is highly resistant to corrosion, can withstand harsh weather and minimises damage in case of an accident occurring. This makes it a safe and secure option when considering your shopfront design.

All toughened glass used in our glass shopfronts and frameless glass doors is manufactured in accordance with BS EN12150. Our most popular glass thickness is 12mm. The way in which toughened glass is manufactured ensures the glass is scratch-resistant and difficult to penetrate, adding an extra security feature to your shopfront. 

Basically, there are two types of curtains walling systems, depending upon the assembly of their components. The first one is the stick curtain wall system in which the components are assembled piece by piece on the building itself. This works well for low rise buildings. This is a flexible option as compared to its counterparts because it gives room for adjustments. On the other hand, in unitized curtain wall systems the parts are already assembled in the factory and are brought to the location as a single unit. This type of system works well in high rise buildings.

So, there is no doubt that every building will have a certain type of curtain walling system installed. Curtain wall systems must be waterproof. At times of rain and snow, you would not want your buildings to drown in it. Therefore, the frames we provide come with pocket sills sloped and wept glazing to collect and drain the water/snow. The slope to the exterior collects water and drains it automatically.

Additionally, sill flashings and slope heads are also added to the exterior to enhance the drainage process. The walls have an air and water seal to disbar water/air to enter the building. For this, perimeter sealants are used to limit the penetration of water and air. READMORE
